Got a story you think belongs at The Vault? Send it over. We read everything. We don't respond to everything — bandwidth is real — but the good pitches get read fast.

What we're looking for

Honest writing, specific angles, and work that a cigar reader would actually want to finish. Reviews, industry news, legislation explainers, retail operations, boutique deep dives. Not: generic "top 10" listicles, regurgitated press releases, or anything with the word "aficionado" in it.

Pitch format

Short is fine. Three sentences that explain what the piece is, why it matters, and why you're the one to write it. Drafts are fine too if you've already written something. Clips welcome but not required.
